1) PLANT PHYSIOLOGY


My research is focused on the leaf gas exchange and Terahertz spectroscopic techniques as a non-invasive tool for measuring leaf water content.









2) BIOINTERACTIONS AND BIOPHYSICS


This research activity is focused on plants interactions to their environment with all kinds of abiotic and biotic stress. The study of these interactions is carried out using biophysics approach.









3) RFID, NFC and Qr CODE TECHNOLOGY IN AGRICULTURE


Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system seems to be the new challenge for developing traceability program in agriculture, as widely illustrate in other fields of applications, i.e. logistic, animal identification or environmental monitoring. 
In particular, QR (quick response) Code and NFC (Near Field Communication) technologies, generally adopted with smartphones and tablets, can be used to associate information with an object.
New studies (http://www.osservatori.dig.polimi.it) counted more than 830 applications of this electronic technology in 600 companies in Europe, with recent increases of 70%.
